Alan graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Psychology/Religious Studies and then attended medical school at Case Western University.
Stephanie Davis Smith returns to Modern Luxury Media as Editorial Director after a two-year hiatus from the luxury lifestyle publisher. Previously, Smith was the editor in chief of The Atlantan, Senior Contributing Editor of Jezebel Magazine, as well as executive editor of Men's Book Atlanta, Ala Moana Magazine and Hawaii Modern Luxury. She also launched Modern Luxury Interiors Atlanta and Modern Luxury Interiors California helping to conceptualize the inaugural issues. She was formerly National Web Editor for skirt.com and launched skirt! Magazine in Atlanta. She began her career at Conde Nast with Self and GQ magazines, she has written for Gourmet, Domino, Details, Allure,Brides, Atlanta Magazine, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and msn.com. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in English from The University of Georgia.
A two-time Folio award-winning editor, Mike Espindle has served as Group Executive Editor for the Modern Luxury family of publications since 2014. Prior to that, he spent over a decade as the Group Editor of Elite Traveler magazine, a ultra-luxury publication distributed aboard private jets. Espindle is a noted authority on high-end automobiles and motoring, mechanical watches, business jets, yachting, artisan spirits and many other aspects of luxury living. He spent time on editorial teams at Ziff-Davis Publications, Norman Lear’s Act III magazines and Scholastic Publishing. He was among the first editors to explore new media as the team leader for NautilusCD, the first electronic magazine distributed on CD-ROM in the early 1990s, and later served as an independent content consultant for early publication-driven websites. Espindle graduated with departmental honors from New York University with a degree in journalism.
